“Earth I walk upon thee”, a String Concert @ Abu Dhabi Theatre on 11th December 2019

In response to the recent flooding in Venice, the Italian Cultural Institute in Abu Dhabi and the Embassy of Italy to the UAE are sponsoring a benefit concert “Earth, I walk upon Thee”.
The performance, composed and conducted by Silvia Colasanti, consists of the Guadagnini String Quartet, and is accompanied by poetry reading by the famous actor and director Elio De Capitani, on texts by Mariangela Gualtieri exploring the pressing issue of climate change and environmental emergencies.
The Guadagnini String Quartet are well known in Europe for their chamber music performances and classical and romantic repertoire. The event is under the patronage of H.E. Nahayan Mubarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Tolerance of the UAE and the Emirates Red Crescent, and under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAIC).
The event will be held on December 11th at 7:30 pm, (opening cocktail 6:30 pm) in the Abu Dhabi National Theatre, near the Abu Dhabi Heritage Village.
